Exterior Inspection:

 

  • Check the overall condition of the property’s exterior, including walls, roof, windows, and doors.
  • Inspect the landscaping, ensuring it is well-maintained and free from any potential hazards or signs of neglect.
  • Examine the condition of fences, gates, and other boundary markers for any damage or security concerns.
  • Check for proper functioning of HVAC units and listen for unusual noises.
  • Visual check of meter box for tripped breakers.
  • Remove newspapers or flyers left at entrance or in the driveway.
  • Examine for any indications of pests or infestations, such as the presence of rodent droppings or signs of insect activity.
  • Check for potential safety issues around the property.
  • Take photos of any damage or areas of concern.
  • Regularly performing these outdoor home watch service inspections will help keep the property in good condition and identify potential issues early, minimizing potential damages and keeping the property secure.

Interior Inspection:

 

  • Inspect all smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire alarms.
  • Inspect the HVAC system, thermostat settings, and ventilation.
  • Verify that all appliances, such as the refrigerator, water heater, and HVAC systems, are functioning correctly.
  • Check for any signs of water leaks or damage in bathrooms, kitchen, laundry areas, rooms and basement.
  • Check for signs of water leakage, mold or pest infestations.
  • Verify that the sump pump is in working order (if applicable).
  • Test plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, and drains, for any leaks or malfunction.

  • Inspect the perimeter fencing for damage or breaches.
  • Verify that emergency exits are clear and accessible.
  • Inspect the condition and operation of any security devices, such as motion sensors, surveillance cameras, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers condition.
  • Check for any fire hazards.

General Maintenance:

 

  • Remove any accumulated mail, packages, or flyers to maintain the appearance of an occupied property.
  • Inspect for any signs of pests or infestations, such as rodent droppings or insect activity.
  • Verify that the property is free from excessive dust, debris, or signs of neglect.

  • Emergency Home Repairs: We can arrange for and supervising repairs in the event of a minor emergency (e.g., plumbing issues, minor electrical repairs).
  • Home Inventory Management: Creating and updating a detailed inventory of valuable items in the property for insurance purposes.
  • Waiting for and meeting vendors: (cable, exterminator, etc).

  • Accepting important deliveries at your home in your absence.

  • Checking home after a storm for power outages.
